Sappe Beauti Drink with Collagen Review
This was part of my recent Sample Room haul. It's been months since I last ordered anything from the site, so I thought it was time to try some of their latest products. I reviewed the Sappe drink with fiber and L-carnitine a while back. I remember mentioning that I wanted to try the other flavors, so I immediately grabbed the opportunity when I saw that SR had the collagen one in stock.
Sappe Beauti Drink with Collagen promises to bestow us with beautifully radiant skin. It lists the following health benefits on a tag that was attached to the bottle: tightens hair follicle, prevents osteoporosis, increases skin moisture and alleviate shrinkage. It sounds like a great deal, especially since one bottle of Sappe is priced at P35. I think that's pretty reasonable for a health drink, but I was taken aback when I learned that you'll need to drink three bottles a day for a month to see results.
This is problematic, in my opinion, because not everyone can afford to spend more than three thousand pesos per month on a health drink alone. Also, there's no assurance that there will be a visible change in your skin because not everything works the same way with everyone. One person's prized beauty product could cause problems for another, as most people who are into them know.
Also, I have an issue with the taste of the drink. I found the apple-flavored water-like taste tolerable at first, but the bitterness that was left in my mouth turned me off. I definitely prefer the fiber and L-carnitine one.
As I've said on my official review on the SR site, I don't think I'll be buying this if ever I see it while doing groceries.
I'm not sure if SR deliberately sent me an extra bottle or they made a mistake, either way, the other bottle has been (and quite possibly, will continue to be) stuck in our refrigerator for a quite some time.
